Just wonder where Gagner's value is at when you consider his cap hit isn't the easiest thing to swallow for a team like LA. Not to mention what he does or doesn't bring to the table. I'm not sure why LA is that interested in him, unless they think they can turn him into an effective two-way player under Sutter.

we have tons of centers, and centers that are on the wing now to make room for those centers, so that is the only strange part, then there is the fact that we don't have a lot of salary room. The only center that I really am not happy with is Mike Richards,

I would give up Muffin in a heart beat, I like Marty way more than him anyway. would be even better if you took Mitchell off our hands too ( for salary reasons and the fact that he is getting pylon'd out there ) we have other D men that could come up. I like what I saw from Augr in the preseason.

I am baffled though about the nuts and bolts of this trade but not surprised it's with Edmonton. I don't think they will give up Kinger, you guys need D men. I just don't see how we can take on another center.

I guess the conjecture is that gags would take stolls spot eventually, since everyone in LA thinks the sun shines out of Richards arse I doubt I will get my wish to get rid of him. Nolan would be a good thing to bundle with Muffin, we could stand to drop Fraser off the 4th line center, move stoll back there and put gags on the 3rd line. then when stoll is done we would most likely let him go and keep gags. Still don't know if the salary works immediately though. Unless the kings are going to ship him off right away in another trade using gags and your 3rd round pick for someone higher profile. the way brown Richards and wiliams are playing right now, they should be a the third line.

I'd be a little disappointed that a 7 year investment in Gagner - who's not a bad played despite the recent hackjob that curiously coincides precisely with trade rumours - ended with a return of Dwight King alone.

It's the beginnings of a deal though. Frattin's had a terrible year but there may be a player there. Maybe Gagner + a little something equals King + Frattin?

Now that I think about it: Frattin has the Marlie factor, is more expendable to them than King (and carries less value) and is a speedster.

Would surprise me if the deal had Frattin and Muzzin in it.

Straight up, it would be bad deal for the Oil. If it were King+ for Gagner, then I think he's a good fit. If it's being discussed I think you go big and and target both King and one of the young D for Gagner +.

I agree, I wouldn't take it. That's likely what they ask for. Yak's value is low and its considered a weaker draft class by many. Richards isn't the centre I'd want to package Yak and a 1st for

I like the Gags + 2015 1st Rounder for Richards.
